Eat like your skin depends on it means clean up your gut. There was a point in my life where I had really bad skin. In my early thirties I went through a phase of seeing the dermatologist a lot. I thought I could clear up my “rosacea” by trying photo facial. Well, guess what? I never had rosacea and never invested the time nor money in photo facial. There was a time in my life in my teens where I visited the dermatologist a lot. I had really bad dry skin and eczema on my hands. It seemed like I had a ton of steroid tubes lying around my bathroom counter. I recall someone stating, be careful how much you use as it can thin your skin.
Fast forward to a new world of thinking and living! I finally said what the “f!c?!” I need to get to the root cause of my skin issues. Why am I turning tomato red when I eat or drink. Why do I have a rash around my nose, cheeks and chin. Why is my aunt on my back about having such a red nose? Why is this chick I just met freaking out about how red my face is (she was a SoCal girl of course). My friends didn’t seem to care!
Here is the deal, I share this with you because I was able to get to the “Root Cause” of my RED FLUSHED SKIN.
I was also able to ditch the belly bloat, fatigue and afternoon chai latte cravings. Once I ditched the inflammation in my digestive system (gluten sensitivity, parasite, h.pylori, adrenal fatigue) I cleaned up my skin! What a miracle. It was empowering, I felt energized, mentally focused, thriving in my career and relationships and ran faster than ever. I ditched the gluten and basically the Elimination Diet helped me clean up my gut.
If you want to eat food that leaves you with glowing skin, feeling revitalized and transformed by embracing “feel good detox” exercises – than head over to my Elimination program which will leave you feeling revitalized and have the glowing skin you desire! I just love when people say, “Martha, what are you using on you skin?”
It is simple I say, clean up your gut and use safe non toxic beauty products. Healthy skin comes from the inside out. This is another reason I LOVE using essential oils. I decided to ditch the toxins for good.
