A quick smoothie is not enough to get you through the morning. This recipe is suitable for your entire family. Protein balls are easy to make, nourishing and satisfying. Our family is very active – when you are on the go and need a quick pick me up pre-made healthy kid friendly protein balls are your “go to snack” after cross-country practice, yoga a bike ride or mid-afternoon snack. This recipe will provide antioxidants, fiber, natural sugar, vegan protein and magnesium. Truly wholesome and nourishing!

- 3/4 cup dates, soaked
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons raw cacao
- 2 tablespoons shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds, preferably soaked
Add all ingredients except for the shredded coconut into a food
processor or high-speed blender. Blend until well combined, about 1-2
minutes. Add in shredded coconut and process for another 30 seconds.
Use a large spoon to scoop the mixture and roll them into balls. Serve fresh
or refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
